Cookie Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-01 · Last updated: 2026-11-04

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Tscale Solution uses across our dashboard, marketing site, and link-hub pages, and how you can control them.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website to remember information between visits, such as keeping you signed in.

2. Cookies we use

What we use depends on which tscale property you're on:

PropertyCookies setPurpose
Dashboard (dash.tscale.ca)Strictly-necessary session cookie (Supabase auth)Keeps you signed in to the dashboard. Essential for login — never used for advertising.
Marketing site (tscalesolution.com)Google Analytics 4Aggregate usage measurement (pages viewed, traffic sources, device type) — not advertising, not cross-site tracking.
Link-hub pagesOne first-party analytics cookie (ts_hub_vid) — plus one opt-out cookie (ts_hub_optout) if, and only if, you decline in Section 5The analytics cookie holds a randomly generated number and nothing else — no name, no email, no IP address. It lets the business whose page it is estimate how many different people opened the page and how many came back. It expires after about 13 months, is never used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and is never sold. You can switch it off in Section 5 (also reachable from the "Cookies" link at the bottom of any link-hub page), and it is not set at all if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The opt-out cookie holds the value 1, no identifier, and exists only to remember that you declined.
Private link-hub pages (a business can protect a page with a password)One cookie (ts_hub_unlock_…), set only after you enter the page's passwordLets you keep seeing that private page without typing the password again. It holds a signed access code for that one page and nothing about you, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and stops working after 7 days or as soon as the business changes the password. It is needed for the page to work and is never used for counting or advertising.
Link-hub pages where the business has turned on Google Analytics 4 or Meta PixelOne choice cookie (ts_hub_consent_…) — plus, only if you select "Allow analytics", Google's and Meta's own cookies (such as _ga and _fbp)These pages ask you first, in a notice that names the business. Nothing from Google or Meta loads until you select "Allow analytics". If you select "No thanks" or ignore the notice, if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, or if you switched off counting in Section 5, nothing from them loads at all. The choice cookie remembers your answer, and when you gave it, for 6 months. If you allow, Google and Meta set and read their own cookies and receive, in the United States, which pages you view and when you tap a link, start a call or send the inquiry form — never what you type. The business chose these tools and is responsible for them under its own accounts; Tscale does not send them its visitor number.
Maps, videos and music on link-hub pagesNone from us. Google Maps, YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com) or Spotify content loads only after you tap "Show map" or "Play"Each card says where its content comes from. Once you tap it, that provider may set cookies or use similar browser storage under its own policy. If the business shows a video preview picture, that picture loads from YouTube's image server before you tap.
Polls on link-hub pagesBrowser storage, not a cookie (ts_hub_poll:…), saved only after you voteHolds a random, signed code so the same browser is not counted twice in that poll. It does not identify you, is not linked to other pages, and stays until you clear this site's data in your browser.
Forms (the contact form on this site, inquiry forms on link-hub pages)Cloudflare Turnstile (spam check on inquiry forms) runs in a frame from CloudflareFor that check Cloudflare may use cookies or similar browser storage under its own privacy policy. We do not use it to track you across sites.

Alongside that cookie, a first-party beacon on link-hub pages counts page views and button taps and records a coarse device class (for example mobile or desktop). Every recorded visit also carries a hash computed from your IP address and browser user-agent together with a secret salt that changes each day and is deleted after 48 hours — that hash is what still allows a single day to be counted when there is no cookie at all. It cannot be linked across days or across different link-hub pages, and neither your IP address nor your user-agent is ever stored. Visitor numbers produced this way are estimates, not exact counts.

3. No advertising or cross-site tracking

Tscale does not use advertising pixels or cross-site tracking cookies on any tscale property. The one exception is a link-hub page whose business has turned on Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel (Section 2): those are the business's own tools, and they load only after you select "Allow analytics" on that page. Nothing collected via cookies is sold.

4. Controlling cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking the dashboard's session cookie will break login — you won't be able to stay signed in. Blocking Google Analytics on the marketing site does not affect your ability to browse or contact us. Blocking or deleting the link-hub analytics cookie does not affect the page in any way — it will still load and every button will still work; only the visitor count is affected. Section 5 below turns the counting off entirely, not just the cookie.

5. Your choice on link-hub pages

You do not have to be counted. Use the switch below, or send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser — we honour both, and when either is present we set no cookie and record nothing.

Turn link-hub analytics off

This switch applies to the link-hub pages we host for our clients. It stores your choice in this browser only.

Pages that use Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel. On these pages you choose in the notice at the bottom of the page. To change your mind later, use the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of that page: choosing "No thanks" stops the tools and deletes the Google and Meta cookies that the page can reach, then reloads the page. Information already sent to Google or Meta is held in the business's accounts — to have it deleted, contact the business. Switching off counting above also keeps that notice and those tools off.
